Planned Giving
When you arrange for a planned gift to Eliada, you ensure your partnership with us and our children for the future. Planned gifts offer you creative and flexible benefits. These gifts establish your legacy of generosity benefiting Eliada for decades to come.

Bequests (click here to view video)
A bequest provides a gift to Eliada in your will.
Life Insurance (click here to view video)
You may simply name Eliada as the policy beneficiary,
or make Eliada the owner and beneficiary of a paid up policy. By doing the latter, you receive an immediate tax deduction for the cash value of the policy.
Charitable Gift Annuity
(click here to view video) An agreement between you and Eliada's partner for endowment gifts, The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. One you transfer assets to the gift annuity, you receive annuity payments for the remainder of yoru life. Donor Benefits: You receive an immedate tax deduction for a portion of your gift. You can postpone annuity payments until you need them (e.g. retirement or to fund a grandchild's college education). The longer you defer payments, the higher the annuity rate. In the meantime, the principle grows tax-free.
Charitable Remainder Trust
(click here to view video) An agreement between you and a trustee that provides fixed or variable income to meet your specific financial needs. At the termination of the agreement, the remaining assets are passed to Eliada. Donor Benefits: You receive an immediate tax deduction for a portion of your contribution to the trust. You pay no immediate capital gains tax on any appreciated assets you donate. You or your designated income beneficiaries receive income for life or a term of years.
Charitable Lead Trust
(click here to view video) A charitable way to pass assets to heirs. You contribute cash, securities, or other property to a trust. The trust makes fixed annual payments to Eliada for a specific period of years. When the trust ends, the remaining principle goes to your heirs. Donor Benefits: You qualify for a gift tax deduction for the present value of the annuity payment to Eliada. The annuity payments and the term of the trust can be structured to reduce or eliminate the transfer taxes when the principle reverts to your heirs. All appreciation that takes place in the trust goes tax free to your heirs.
