Asheville Rewind: 4 Bands, $10, 1 Great Cause
ASHEVILLE – May 2009 – On Friday, May 22nd four bands that dominated the Asheville music scene in the late 80’s and early 90’s will reunite for one night only. The groups will converge for an event known as “Asheville Rewind”, in which fans of classic local rockers Prayin’ for Rain, The Stripp Band, Charlie’s on Acid, and Mother Soul will pack The Orange Peel in support of a great cause. Tickets are just $10, and all proceeds will go to benefit the children and families served by Eliada Homes.
“This is a great opportunity for folks to come out, have a good time, and support a local charity while enjoying some great music,” according to Michelle Robinson, Eliada’s Development Director. “We know times are tough economically, but this is truly an event everyone can participate in. It’s an all ages show and it should be a lot of fun!”
Tickets can be purchased at The Orange Peel box office, Music City, or online at www.theorangepeel.net. Learn more by visiting www.ashevillerewind.com. The event is sponsored by M7 Event Solutions, Music City, Rock 104.9, and Highland Brewing Company.
