Eliada Announces Mother's Day Campaign

ASHEVILLE – April 2008- Mother’s Day is May 11th, and this year Eliada is encouraging people to give a different kind of gift.  When individuals give in honor or memory of their mother, they agency will send a handwritten acknowledgement card especially designed for the occasion.

“Many of our students have great families,” says Eliada CEO Mark Upright, “but others have mothers who are absent from their lives. We’re asking people to give in honor or memory of their mother to benefit a child who may not have one.”

All funds raised through Mother’s Day gifts will be used to benefit the children and families Eliada serves. Donations may be used to purchase textbooks for students at Eliada Academy, team uniforms for the athletics program, or scholarship funds for a deserving adolescent. Eliada requests that donations be received by May 5th for handwritten cards. Online gifts and e-cards can be made at www.eliada.org/giving through May 11th for same-day e-delivery.

For more information or to make a gift, contact Debbie Pope at 828.254.5356 x 108 or dpope@eliada.org.
