Eliada Receives $13,000 Parsec Prize

ASHEVILLE - May 2006 - Eliada Home has received a generous $13,000 grant from the Parsec Prize program in support of general operating expenses. Funds will be used to support Eliada programsĀ and services that focus on education and child welfare. The prize is funded by the philanthropy of Parsec Financial, a fee-only investment counsel and financial planning firm. Services include review and recommendations on investments, goal setting, taxes, insurance, budgeting, retirement, estate planning and other areas where opportunities exist to have positive impact on their clients' financial well-being.
The Parsec Prize is given quarterly to organizations that strive to improve the quality of education and prospects for economic development in local communities. Grants are made to non-profit organizations that are certified tax-exempt under section 501(c) (3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service code. Eliada is a 103-year-old non-profit agency serving North Carolina's children and families.
