fcaASHEVILLE – September 2007 – Two teachers from Eliada’s Child Development center have been honored with Family Choice Awards. Presented by Mountain Area Child and Family Centers, The Family Support Network of WNC, and Child Development Center Services, the awards were given at Mission Children’s Hospital on September 20th.

Recognition was given to teachers working in 5-star facilities whose creativity, hard work, and determination makes a difference in the lives of children and their families. Parents were asked to nominate teachers whose commitment to student success was exemplary.

Of Cynthia Wright, one of the award recipients, a parent wrote: “She gives the children the individual attention they need, especially my son. She is wonderful with all of the children and a joy to watch interacting with the class.”

According to Casey Jones-Jeter, the other award recipient, “I was so excited and honored to be given this award. It meant even more because it came from the families themselves.”

Eliada CEO Mark Upright was also in attendance. He remarked that “Casey and Cynthia are both caring professionals whose commitment to our mission is evident not only to other staff members, but also to the children and families they serve. I speak on behalf of all of our staff in expressing how proud we are of this remarkable accomplishment.”
