Elks Lodge will match gifts to Eliada
ASHEVILLE - February 25, 2006. The Asheville Elks Lodge No. 608, longtime friend of Eliada, has donated $5,000 to help renovate the kitchens of the residential children's home. Additionally, the Elks challenged the community to give generously to Eliada by pledging to match other donations up to $2,500. Funding will also benefit an educational initiative; in collaboration with local culinary educators, Eliada's new commercial-grade residential kitchens will be vocational classrooms that will prepare students for life in the working world.
Individuals are encouraged to help Eliada meet their $2,500 goal- donations of any amount are sincerely appreciated. Call Michelle Robinson at 828-254-5356 x157 to learn more, or send donations Attn: Elks Challenge c/o Eliada Office of Development; 2 Compton Drive; Asheville, NC 28816.
