Open House Events Highlight Eliada’s Community Golf, Minibike, & Horsemanship Programs
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Eliada announces two open house events to showcase three recreation and character development programs recently opened to community children and their families. The programs include a USGA- supported Junior Golf program, the Honda-sponsored National Youth Project Using Minibikes, and Eliada's own beginner horsemanship and riding programs. The open house events will be held Thursday, October 16 from 5pm to 7pm and Saturday, October 18 from 12pm to 2pm on Eliada’s campus, and will feature golf, minibike, and equestrian demonstrations. No pre-registration is required to attend.
The open house events are designed to introduce the affordable and exciting golf, minibike, and horsemanship programs Eliada makes available to the community. While all these programs offer unique recreational opportunities, they also have a strong emphasis on personal development. For example, the USGA-supported junior golf program teaches children of all ages and backgrounds the fundamentals of golf while emphasizing patience, perseverance, etiquette, and sportsmanship. Lessons take place on Eliada’s expansive campus driving range. In keeping with the focus on family involvement, parents can use the range for free while children are in class.
According to Laura Elliot, Eliada’s Enhanced Services Director, “We know parents are looking for innovative, enriching ways for their children to spend free time. These classes and clinics teach a skill, build character, provide a healthy recreational venue and are really appealing to both young children and teenagers.”

About The National Youth Project Using Minibikes (NYPUM)
The National Youth Project Using Mini-Bikes (NYPUM) was founded by HONDA 39 years ago in Southern California. It now has 44 programs across the United States. Eliada's NYPUM chapter was started in the fall of 2000. NYPUM is designed to use dirt bike lessons and trail riding as a way to teach important character development lessons and inspire children to make positive changes in their lives. As participants demonstrate progress on personal development goals they advance through 21 lessons on safety, switching gears, balancing and riding on different terrain. The NYPUM experience culminates in trail riding on Eliada’s historic 200 acre historic campus. NYPUM classes run in 12 week segments. Two and a half hour weekly classes cost $25 per week and are offered on weekday afternoons and Saturdays. NYPUM is open to youth ages 10 to 17.
About Eliada’s Horsemanship and Riding Programs
Eliada’s horsemanship and beginner riding lessons are open to children ages 5 to 17. Group beginner horsemanship classes are designed to build knowledge of horse care and confidence in working with both a single horse as well as a herd. Children learn how to groom, saddle, feed and provide basic first-aid to horses, as well as basic riding skills. Classes range from $15 per week for group lessons to $35 per week for private lessons. Classes may be scheduled on weekday afternoons or Saturdays.
