Inclement Weather Policy
Since Eliada Academy serves both residential and community-based students, decisions about school closings or delays will be based on the needs of both groups of students, as well as the safety of the staff.

It is an EXTREMELY rare occasion that Eliada Academy would be closed on any scheduled school day.  There will, however, be situations that call for a two-hour delay. In such cases, school will begin at 10:15am instead of 8:15am.

ELIADA ACADEMY DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY FOLLOW THE DECISION OF BUNCOMBE COUNTY OR ASHEVILLE CITY SCHOOLS WHEN DETERMINING THE NECESSITY OF A SCHOOL CLOSING OR DELAY.

Announcements in regards to a two-hour delay, early dismissal or school closing will be posted on the following media stations:

In the event of a two-hour delay, the school schedule is as follows:
1st block: 10.15-11.15
2nd block: 11.15-12.15
3rd block: 12.15-1.45 (includes lunch)
4th block: 1.45-2.45
