School Age Services

Eliada’s School Age Services maintain a 5 STAR license by the State of NC Department of Health and Human Resources Division of Child Development. Our program provides a safe place for children and pre-teens to spend their afternoon while working families are finishing out their day. With a staff made up of a Director, School Age Program Manager, and credentialed Teachers, children are provided a safe, happy, healthy and productive environment. In addition, Eliada’s open door policy encourages parents to drop in at any time during our regular hours of operation.

Eliada school age staff focus on positive peer relations,conflict resolution, character building and strive to promote a healthy sense of self-esteem.

School-Age features the following components to ensure quality care for your children

  • Hours are from 2:30 to 5:30 every afternoon, Monday through Friday, with nutritious afternoon snacks served daily. Hours on Snow Days and Teacher Work Days are: 7:00am to 5:30pm (weather permitting).
  • Transportation from local schools can be arranged. We serve: Leicester, West Buncombe, Emma, Johnston, Eblen and Erwin Middle schools.
  • Our staff are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Basic School Age Care. They are re-certified annually with 75% holding a degree in child development related fields.  Eliada’s staff are encouraged to continue their education and to take advantage of training opportunities.
  • The School Age program has access to the gym, ball field, hiking trails, the TASC barn, fitness barn, driving range
  • Children are offered planned activities daily as well as quiet time to complete homework if desired.
  • We emphasize the positive, useful, and fun experiences of learning, focusing on self-esteem and social skills.
