Therapeutic Recreation Overview

Eliada’s therapeutic recreation programs are support services created and utilized to support Eliada’s service and treatment programs.  Therapeutic Recreation provides a unique opportunity for Eliada’s students to participate in engaging, fun and challenging activities that they may otherwise not have the opportunity to experience.

Each of the programs is designed to help build confidence, help instill a healthy lifestyle and teach important character development traits. Whether it’s learning to ride a dirt bike, care for a horse or responsibly completing the duties of an after-school job, therapeutic recreation programs bring enrichment, excitement and unique opportunities for growth to each of its participants.

The goal of these programs is to provide therapeutic opportunities to the surrounding community and Eliada Campus through recreational and character development programs. Our aim is to develop and implement healthy and engaging activities that provide opportunities for personal growth, as well as to help students develop character building assets that contribute to student’s success and daily life experiences: Confidence, Healthy self-esteem, Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Patience, Responsibility, Healthy decision-making, and Perseverance.
