Level III Treatment
Green Cottage and Earle Cottage are both residential treatment programs at Eliada Homes that are well suited for adolescents who may not need as intensive and restrictive services as Eliada’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) cottages. Both cottages are small, home-like, four-bed residences for adolescents ages 13-17. These residential programs act as a stepping stone for children before returning to their home communities.
Youth in Green and Earle participate in:
DBT Groups: Youth learn mindfulness skills, how to manage stress, how to express their needs while maintaining positive relationships, and how to regulate their emotions through weekly skills training.
Life Skills Groups: Youth learn daily life skills to help them manage their hygiene, health, and home life in weekly skills training.
Education: Youth in these cottages either attend Eliada’s Day Treatment program for school where they receive a high level of one-on-one instruction, or a local public or alternative school. Eliada staff facilitate getting youth to and from school, and support youth in reintegrating into the community setting for their education.
Community Engagement: Youth engage in community service and activities in their local community through volunteer projects at non-profits, sports and yoga clubs, and special field trips.
EQUIP Treatment Model: EQUIP blends Positive Peer Culture and Aggression Replacement Training to motivate and equip youth with skills to help one another act responsibly. Students participate in daily goal, reflection, and peer support groups, as well as attend a help group led by a Clinician.
Participation in Therapeutic Recreation: Students participate in outdoor recreation activities and equine-assisted therapy (TASC) that blends directly with their treatment goals.
