EQUINE SPECIALIST

Sarah Hollowell

Sarah is a North Carolina native who rode horses as a little girl. She rediscovered her equine passion as an intern at Eliada Homes with UNC Asheville where she studied under Carrie Melear. After finishing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UNCA, she began working in residential treatment centers in the Asheville area in both the direct care and equine departments. Sarah was thrilled to begin working full time alongside Carrie in 2020 and completed her Eagala certification training in February 2022. She knows the Eliada horses like the back of her hand and cannot wait to help others explore their stories through the equine assisted psychotherapy modality.
