Luke Mackenzie, Clinical Director
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and their families to address mental health challenges that interfere with a young person’s ability to set and achieve meaningful goals. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with over 13 years of experience in youth mental health counseling, working across a wide range of settings, including schools, homes, outpatient offices, group therapy programs, residential treatment, and day treatment environments.
I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I take a client-centered approach to care. I believe in meeting youth and families where they are, adapting my approach to create a therapeutic environment that is both safe and supportive for each individual. I also have extensive experience utilizing psychological assessments to identify strengths and areas of need, helping to guide effective, personalized treatment planning.
I currently serve as the Clinical Director at Eliada Homes, where I oversee the development and progress of each residential student and support the work of their therapists.
Josie Torrence, LCSW
Caring for a child or adolescent with emotional or behavioral needs can be deeply meaningful—and incredibly demanding. Caregivers often carry significant stress while navigating complex family dynamics and systems of care. I am passionate about creating a space where caregivers feel supported, understood, and equipped to care for both their loved ones and themselves.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in Intensive In-Home therapy, working with adolescents and families navigating trauma, behavioral challenges, and system involvement. This work has strengthened my commitment to supporting the caregivers behind the scenes—including biological, foster, and adoptive parents, grandparents, and other guardians.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based practices to support emotional regulation, communication, and sustainable coping. I work collaboratively with clients to process their experiences, understand relational patterns, and develop practical tools to navigate challenges with greater clarity and confidence. My goal is to foster a therapeutic relationship that is both compassionate and clinically grounded, helping clients feel validated while building the skills needed for lasting growth and connection.
Shaun Mears, LCSWA
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) who works with children, adolescents, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and ongoing stress at home or in school. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel understood and empowered to make meaningful progress.
I specialize in trauma-focused work with teens, using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help process experiences and better understand how trauma impacts emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I also support parents in strengthening their connection with their child and developing effective, responsive strategies at home.
In addition, I have experience working with younger children and use play-based approaches to help them express emotions and build coping skills in developmentally appropriate ways. My work is trauma-informed and strengths-based, incorporating CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing to support practical, lasting change for both children and families.
Salvatore Caravella, LCMHCA
Life can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. I work collaboratively with clients to build self-understanding, break unhelpful patterns, and develop practical tools for moving forward with confidence. My approach is warm, supportive, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) who integrates cognitive and behavioral therapies, acceptance-based approaches, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and exposure techniques.
